Canada House Beach Club

Fall is such a great time of year at Canada House… We don’t have many guests in-house, but we always get lots of work done!

Our parking lot repaving project hit a snag in January, so it had to be rescheduled to October. This also means we’ll be sealcoating the new paving next year around this same time. We had some major electrical work done in the oceanfront building this fall, and the West side is next. We have also installed satellite dishes, and we are in the process of installing flat-screen LG HD TV’s in every unit to go along with them.

This summer, we did quite a bit of landscaping, including a completely new plan & look for the backyard. We have already received many compliments on the changes. Along with the new look, we also have all new barbeque grills… but we’ve made changes there, too… half of the grills are still charcoal, but the other half are now gas.

As always, there are lots of other big and little projects in the works, too. As soon as we finish with the majority of them, we will start updating the website and posting some new pictures. Please feel free to stop by and take a look when you have some time. www.canadahouse.us

Cliffs at Peace Canyon

Welcome to The Cliffs at Peace Canyon and Fabulous Las Vegas!!

In 2008 all of our units were updated with new dining chairs, living room rugs, counter tops in the kitchen and new artwork throughout. We are in the process of repainting all the units and installing new draperies. In effort to stay “Green”, the old thermostats are being replaced by new energy-efficient ones.
We have added wireless internet throughout the property as well.

We offer complementary daily shuttle service to and from the local grocery market, the World Famous Las Vegas Strip and 3 days a week to and from the Fremont Street Experience. Our Shuttle runs from 10am-12am seven (7) days a week. Reservations are required to use the Shuttle.

The Sienna Golf Club, Arroyo at Red Rock and Badlands Golf courses offer our Guests Special Rates throughout the year. Stop by the Front Desk to get more information on these or any of our activities.

Many new shops and restaurants are now open at the Grand Flamingo Center located just ¼ mile north of the Resort.

We are a Non-Smoking Facility. However, there are designated Smoking Areas around the pool and building entrances.

Grand Lake Resort

Greetings to all of our Grand Lake Resort owners and their families! Your Grand Lake Resort team is looking forward to another great year of ensuring that you have a great vacation experience.

2010 was a very good, yet solemn year for us with the passing of our longtime Resort Manager Bill Caldwell. Bill will be truly missed by us all.
Our new Resort Manager Christopher Perry, who joined us in early December, comes to us with over twenty five years of Management & leadership experience and will assist us in bringing our resort to the next level.

We are looking forward to our upcoming lobby renovation and the interior updates for our ‘500’ building.

Some of the projects that your Grand Lake Resort team has worked diligently on are:

• Painting & staining of the Tiki Hut & playground.
• Replacement of twelve front doors in the ‘600’ building.
• Installation of new landscaping timbers to replace older rotted wood.
• Installation of automatic deodorizers in the lobby and in all of the public restrooms.
• Installation of hand sanitizers in the Fitness Center & at the Front Desk.
• Updating of uniformed shirts for the Front Office & Resort Management team.
• Updated unit inspection processes and checklists, to assist in raising the bar on all of our standards.

The Grandview at Las Vegas is located approximately 7 miles from the southern end of the famous Las Vegas Strip and offers its guests a spectacular vacation experience in the heart of the most sought after vacation destination in the world – Las Vegas, Nevada!

Maverick

The Maverick Resort sits on the edge of the historic sands of Ormond Beach just north of “THE WORLDS MOST FAMOUS BEACH”.

This classic resort stands on the longest beachfront in the county that still allows driving on the beach, a favorite past time of the locals taking root in Ormond Beach’s being “THE BIRTHPLACE OF SPEED”. The Maverick Resort has 138 studio and one bedroom privately owned units. The 66,000 gallon heated pool is one of the largest on the beach strip and provides plenty of space for pool time fun. There is an outdoor Jacuzzi for just relaxing and enjoying the beautiful panoramic veiw of the Atlantic Ocean from a spacious pool deck equipped with plenty of comfortable lounge chairs for everyone! The resort is proud to have the Coquina Café, an on-site restaurant that is pleasantly enjoyed by locals and in house guests. A yummy breakfast and lunch menu is served all day along with daily specials. The Maverick has an activity room with billards, games, cards, puzzles, and plenty of reading material from the “exchange” shelf with the rule being… read one- leave one! A family activity program is in place and directed with planned crafts, health and beauty services, ice cream socials, bingo, movies, and a weekly welcome hot dog social. The Maverick Resort is progressing forward with continuing upgrades and operating standards. Is exciting when we realize it has been already five years since we opened, by now Mizner has many friends and people who calls it “home”. This is mainly due to the excellent staff in both the maintenance and Housekeeping departments that take personal pride in keeping your home away from home in great condition awaiting your next return. Over this period we have upgraded the linens, added features, partner with event organizers in order to have the most updated information to help you gear your vacation on your desired direction.

We are delighted to offer front desk/reception 24 hours a day, right at Mizner Place. Now you can drive directly to your home Resort and enjoy the convenience and hospitality of our well trained and friendly staff and stop by our concierge for information. The Resort has also available Wi-Fi thorough the property in addition to our internet room, located right across from our Gym.

Please keep in mind that there are many restaurants, a dry cleaners and shopping opportunities just steps outside our front door at the Weston Town Center. Some of the “Hot Spots” are the Japan Inn, Tarantella’s, the Cheese Course and Starbucks and Yogurtland among others. In case The evening calls for a Martini, Swig’s is a special favorite establishment with the local residents.

We offer seasonal activities such as Kid’s Night Out and Teen Jam for the younger crowd. We continue serving fruit smoothies by the pool and our most popular activities have been “Latin Dancing Lessons” and “Karaoke night”.

Silver Seas Beach Resort

One of the best ocean views in South Florida is found right at the front door of Silver Seas Beach Club Resort. Our guests and owners come back year after year to get the personal touch and a warm welcome, as well as to enjoy the activities the Fort Lauderdale Beach area has to offer.

The Silver Seas Beach Club Resort has undergone many changes in 2011. With its new look yet retaining its old South Florida charm. The units interiors have been freshly painted, the carpet has been replaced with beautiful contemporary style, the bathroom floors were replaced with nice slate tile, the bedding sets have been also replaced with a new fresh and tropical look, and we are currently in the process of updating our window treatments with plush room darkening drapery and updating the furniture. We continue to keep our landscaping lush and very well manicured. We are also proud to continue to follow our green resort policy.

Staying at our resort comes with many conveniences from being in the heart of downtown Fort Lauderdale where having your own transportation is not needed. There are many local restaurants, night clubs with live entertainment, the world famous Jungle Queen, and drug stores within walking distance. There are grocery stores, a mall, beautiful boutiques, art galleries, museums, and the famous restaurants on Las Olas Boulevard, with in a five minute drive with means of transportation such as the Sun Trolly, Water Taxi, and regular taxis. Surfsider Resort

Overlooking the Intracoastal Waterway in Pompano Beach, Surfsider Resort features an Olympic-sized outdoor pool and access to the azure waters and beautiful beaches of the Atlantic Ocean. New living room sets are also scheduled for this coming fall.

Vacation Village at Parkway is a beautiful RCI Gold Crown Resort located just minutes from Walt Disney World, SeaWorld, and Universal Studios Theme Park.
